At the Endocrine Clinic, we treat all endocrine issues including diabetes (types 1 and 2), plus all pituitary, adrenal, thyroid, parathyroid, PCOS, and other endocrine and metabolic disease states.
We specialize in evaluating bone mineralization disorders by performing bone density studies using a method known as Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA). We perform all pre-certification for other doctor offices and can set up the appointment. The scan takes about 15 minutes, is pain-free, and may reveal osteoporosis five years before it shows up on a regular x-ray.
You or a family member may be requested to perform a provocative growth hormone (GH) stimulation test. This is called a Stimulation Test and helps us determine if a pituitary problem exists, including growth hormone deficiency.
The thyroid is a part of the endocrine (hormone) system, and plays a major role in regulating the body's metabolism. Sometimes, a sample of cells from the thyroid gland is needed to diagnose a condition. This test is usually performed in the office under ultrasound guidance by one of our physicians certified specifically in fine needle aspiration biopsy of the thyroid.
We have over 24 years experience performing phase two and three clinical research and are actively involved in multiple clinical research trials approved by the FDA. These trials help us understand endocrine disorders better and assist in finding new, innovative, and safe therapies for endocrine disorders.
